LIBERTY IS NEVER GIVEN,
IT IS EARNED.
"All men are by nature free and have certain inherent rights...to secure these rights governments are instituted among men, deriving their powers from the consent of the governed."
WE ARE THE ULTIMATE DECISION MAKERS;
GOVERNMENT EXISTS WITH OUR CONSENT.
WHAT DO WE DO WHEN OUR LIBERTY IS TAKEN?
Voting for new candidates in the hopes they will not abuse federal power, relying on federal courts to limit federal power or protesting the federal government to limit its own power has failed. We recommend a strategy of local and state noncompliance with a multi layered approach. We are working on privacy rights protections and asset forfeiture reform in IL. Political monopolies are dangerous and centralized power is the greatest threat to a free people. Local and state government is more accountable to those it represents.
The states decide when the federal government has overstepped its authority. The constitution does not enforce itself and the federal government will not limit itself. The true separation of powers is that the states were meant to be a vertical check on power through nullification.
The Tenth Amendment clarifies that the federal government possesses only the powers delegated to it, and nothing more. The people of the states created a government with limited powers. The states only agreed to a list of powers. Anything not on the list is invalid; you are not bound to obey it, and your state is not bound to enforce it.
Our focus is on the decentralization of political power and the reclamation of our natural rights- some of which are listed in the Bill of Rights. We recognize that the national government is unresponsive to the people. Local and state politics is our focus, our strategy is to take small steps to reclaim our liberty in specific areas. Building coalitions with others to generate support is a part of this strategy. We endorse the principles of the Electronic Frontier Alliance.
